We close every year the second week of January for boarding and daycare. We apologize for any inconvenience!

Good morning! I wanted to let everyone know we have just completed an evaluation of our vaccination requirements. I have consulted with 3 local veterinarians and have decided to require a Bordetella every six months. The Bordetella vaccine prevents infectious canine tracheobronchitis, commonly know as “kennel cough”.  This illness can be caused by a number of agents both bacterial and viral. It is very similar to the human flu. Just like the flu, even if your dog is vaccinated, they can still get it. It is an airborne sickness that can be picked up anywhere. Even the cleanest boarding facilities with stringent vaccination requirements can still have infected dogs. So in order for us to provide your pet with the best protection possible, we now are going to require a bordetella vaccine every six months. I know this may be an inconvenience, but your pet’s health is our top priority! Most local vets will offer the vaccine without requiring an exam, so it’s a quick in and out visit. Our facility also has installed 3 in 1 air purifiers throughout that filter 99.9% of all airborne viruses and bacteria using both HEPA filtration and UV.  Our top priority is your dogs health and safety!

At The Dog House we love your pets like they are our own. We don’t want to be the biggest, just the best! We always have a Red Cross Pet First Aid certified staff member here to insure your pet is in the best of care! Come check us out….

1 half day $14.00
10 half day package $120.00
20 half day package $200.00
Multiple dogs from the same family pay $12.00 per half day per dog.

Bringing your dog on vacation? Let them have a vacation of their own at The Dog House daycare and boarding! We are just 4 miles north of the bridge and have plenty of outdoor space for your dog to play with new friends. Or they can take a dip in one of our pools.

Heading to the beach? Bring your dog to play or stay with us. We are on the way to Carolina Beach and Kure Beach, just 1.5 miles south of Monkey Junction! We have 4 large outdoor play areas and 1 large indoor play area.
